Independent study - A LEVEL
The media independent study menus are designed to allow for greater independent learning at A Level, and act as a companion to the full A Level course studied in lessons.
Listed on the menus are a range of academic, research, and practical tasks which will link to each exam unit of study, as well academic theory and the introductory unit for Year 12. This bespoke menu will allow you to take control of, and enhance your own learning outside of the classroom.
The tasks set will enable you to improve their subject knowledge and understanding, as well as a wider reading of media theories integral to the subject. Tasks will also help further your understanding of key concepts, build up your practical skills, and refine your knowledge of key design programmes and online creative resources.
Independent learning tasks chosen and completed for each unit will be assessed during department folder checks.
There will be a minimum requirement of 1 task per-week. Those in red MUST be completed by the end of the unit and put in your folder for checking.
